- Power BI Desktop with PBIP support on Windows. The Report Server edition does not support PBIP projects.
- Check this first
- Extract the entire folder and keep its structure. This is not a single-click PBIX. A Desktop refresh and the main visuals passed on the supplied data. With SapFolder set to the bundled KSB1 sample plus a backup, a temporary export and an archive subfolder, a refresh passed 5 reconciliation checks (19 Oct 2026): only the top-level KSB1 file was read. Other filter contexts and two-year comparisons are untested.

Extract to a short local path, open the PBIP, set InputWorkbook, then refresh. Keep sample data separate from production.
